Description:	The Texas Ranger's failed confrontation with Mexican bandits to bring back alive the daughters of a powerful Austin senator, creates tension pressuring the Texas Governor into dismissing the Ranger they feel responsible. Captain Tim Brady's fiancée, the daughter of a top lawyer, hears the tale and is embarrassed to be associated with him. She calls off their relationship: The young Captain, thinking his life couldn't get any worse, until he is ordered to leave Austin and in the process is asked to forsake his home state of Texas. Brady's dim outlook of the situation and long journey is contemplated through the emptying whiskey bottle. His inner turmoil is changed when he is approached by a mysterious character from Santa Fe and learns that the Mexicans never illustrated the theft of the Senator's daughters, but by the hands of a Texan; who sold the girls to the bandits. As the conversation continues, he further learns that the Texan now lives in Santa Fe. Without a home and nothing else to loose, he leaves with his close friend Oliver Bell, and trusted Chinese cook for New Mexico. On arriving in Santa Fe County, Brady and Bell rent a small well established cattle ranch and soon discover the reason for the previous owners sudden departure - rustlers. Brady joins the neighbors to help solve their problem, which hinders his investigation. Peggy, the daughter of one of the cattlemen has grown very fond of him and he tries to keep focused on his mission. Brady begins his investigation in township of Santa Fe, not just the rustled cattle, but also his personal responsible for his exile from Texas. He discovers fellow Rangers from his unit working in different occupations around town, that are strangely financed by the Silver Smith's of Santa Fe. They secretly aid him to find evidence to try and clear his innocence. Brady's conflicting affections for his ex-fiancée in Texas and Peggy causes him to doubt his mission, unsure whether he wants to return home. With the Rangers identity discovered and Peggy's kidnapping by whom they understand is their man and who also controls Santa Fe: Brady forgoes the evidence he needs to return to Texas an innocent man, and takes charge of the Rangers once again to plunge them into an out numbered and unpredictable gunfight.
