9 Months to Austin
|
|
Dear fellow writers,
Bad dream woke me up at five so here I am typing. Why not, it's what I do. Entered a poetry contest the other day. Felt unusually competitive. I write stuff that rhymes,.. so leave me alone.
Then I was mentally looking at the scripts I have that need a rewrite, all but the last one or two, thanks to Save the Cat books. That's when I realized that the rewrite task wasn't so bad. I had finished the last one in less than a month. The Austin deadline of 5-15-10 isn't so daunting after all. And that's the early deadline. But I do want to be one of the first ones in for a change, not one sitting in a two or three foot high stack.
In my first two months I have done the 15 Beat sheet and all the note cards. Now it's just a matter of getting the cards shuffled correctly and the polish on the page. I even went and bought the Avery (5388) sheets for the printer so I can print out the current scenes that are in the script, so I can shuffle those in with the hand written ones in an attempt to totally confuse the muse. I am looking forward to that event.
Got to go see Avatar. Feeling like an idiot for not having seen it yet, but I was busy. Was going to go last night but worked late and lost that energy bubble early. Hoping to go tonight.
Hope you have a super day. Think positive, think positive, I know you can, I know you can... Best always,
Jenny
