It's Never Too Late!

Good morning my fellow filmmakers. Today it will be a short entry. I must pack to move and I have a class tonite. I am following my dream...but sometimes I'm just following and I come to realize I've been brought to a place right where I need to be. Two years ago, I was content to live in Hawaii and eventually retire on the Island of Kauai and I never even dreamed I would be back in Hollywood, two years later, learning about filmmaking and realizing a life-long passion. My astrologer told me years ago that "You will work in film, don't ever give up." Well, I did give up, many times and forgot what she said but now I hear it in my head all the time. I've written a screenplay which I think is pretty good. I had a table read with a dozen actors and it went really well. I'm in the midst of raising funds. The day after the table read I attended a short evening seminar on Bankrolling your Film, by Tom Malloy at the SAG Bldg. It was awe-inspiring.
As the Universe would have it, Tom is being sponsored by Carole Lee Dean, author of many books about raising funds for your film projects. She is also someone I met in Seattle 4 years ago and she coached me on my script in the beginning stages. I love the way sychronicity works. So Tom and Carole will be doing a day long Seminar on funding your film on October 24th in Los Angeles. If you are interested here is a link to info on that particular seminar: http://www.fromtheheartproductions.com/Indie_Film.shtml
Maybe I'll see you there. God bless your projects and hopefully we will all have the satisfaction of accomplishing something wonderful for the world to experience. Pilar
