Not to Austin this Year
|
|
Dear IPers,
Well, I thought that I was heading to the Austin FF this year, but I decided taking more time on the rewrite and sending in a really good one next year is a better plan. Now that I have Save the Cat series under my belt AND the Hal Croasman class on Subtext, I think the script will be much better.
And I will use that script as my script for the Hal Croasman rewrite class that I have signed up for which starts in July and runs through September.
Oh, and did I mention that the day job is really getting squirrelly.
I have a lot of faith in this story. If I could just get it on paper. The drafts so far just haven't got it there, YET. I have the faith that with all this new training my scripts will soar to a new level.
And I am a co-writer, co-producer on one of Chris Soth's projects. That has certainly been interesting. A bunch of fun collaborating with folks as well.
And then I did my first EVER video recording of a pitch for the BOSI Pitch Contest which is a free contest btw. You can register for this contest at www.the businessofshowinstitute.com/pitchcontest/. Oh, did I mention it was free. You can got to You Tube and search on "BOSI Contest" and the videos appear. If you want to do a charitable thing you could look at mine and say you like it. If you'd be so kind. My script is titled "A MouseKeeper Christmas".
Oh what fun.
Now back to the day job.
Best always,
Jenny
