The Kodak ZI8
Picked up a Kodak ZI8 at Best Buy. I know, I know, "Get a real camera", "How are you going to be taken seriously using a toy to make a film?" I always thought it was the content of a film, not the medium, that was important. if you watch silent movies, the film quality isn't great, but I can say with confidence that "The General", "The Phantom of The Opera" and "Metropolis" were damn good films. Movies from the 30's and 40's may be scratchy, but they're still good. Technology isn't the be all and end all, although a good many film makers think it is. A good film is a good film, and TESTING THE WATERS is going to be a good film, no matter what I shoot it with. I intend to show you don't need a camera costing thousands of dollars to make a good film.
I'll be doing test shots with the Kodak; I'll keep you all posted.
